The topic of sustainability is playing a role for more and more people, even with regard to vacation planning. This is why we are very pleased that Bad Mergentheim has received the “Sustainable Destination” seal and Hotel Alexa is now a “Sustainable Partner Business.”  

 Together with TourCert, the famous certification company, the state of Baden-Württemberg has developed a feasible certification procedure for tourist destination: Germany’s first “Sustainability Check.”

  “The goal is to examine popular travel destinations according to ecological, economic and social sustainability criteria, encouraging them to continue developing with sustainability in mind,” said Minister of Tourism Alexander Bonde. In addition to local means of mobility, hotels and inns are also assessed according to the criteria.

  In the case of Bad Mergentheim, with much success. In addition to Hotel Alexa, there are 10 other “Sustainable Partner Businesses” in the spa town.  Wouldn’t you like to travel to a sustainable destination?
